On the International Day of Education, we are delighted to announce our partnership with the Kilian Jornet Foundation, to collaborate on developing outreach and education projects to preserve our cherished mountains.
Through this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement, we embark on a shared journey with the KJF, with which we share the aim of raising awareness of the importance of caring for our 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 and protecting it for future generations.
We’ll work together on developing 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐤𝐢 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 and how to face the future of this sport. The Kilian Jornet Foundation will be present as an advisor in the ISMF sustainability commission and will provide support and advice on improving the sustainability of the ISMF races
Both parts will actively participate in joint campaigns for the ski mountaineering community, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. We’ll also work encouraging specific joint projects aimed at improving the sustainability of ski mountaineering, such as developing guidelines for sustainable race organization, and promoting the use of eco-friendly equipment among ski mountaineering community.
It is an exciting path we begin today, working together for a better mountain environment!
