Our Vision, Mission & Values
The Vision statement
The ISMF is the global platform to develop and promote recreational & competitive ski mountaineering and its values.
In the long run, the ISMF shall become the trendsetter and global instance of reference in ski mountaineering by creating the worldwide home for all ski mountaineers, from the professional top athlete to the recreational ski mountaineer.
This vision is based on our strategic assets which make us unique and on which we can capitalize:
- Our heritage as the “mother of all ski sports”
- Our mountaineering legacy and values
- Our rootedness in nature
- The dynamic, healthy, clean and sustainable attributes of our sport
- The growing popularity of ski mountaineering
- Our global reach as the only worldwide platform for ski mountaineers
The Mission Statement
- We provide high quality international races in co-operation with member federations and local partners.
- We connect the global ski mountaineering community to a unique digital services & communication platform.
- We develop the ski mountaineering sport worldwide: more nations, more athletes, more young people.
The Core Values
Core values are the fundamental beliefs upon which our activities and our behaviour are based. They are the guiding principles that we use to manage our internal affairs as well as our relationship with all external stakeholders. And they are a cornerstone for shaping a unique profile of the ISMF. If these values shall become authentic, it will be important that leadership stands behind and everyone at the ISMF will be held responsible for them.
